1. What is LitForge?

LitForge is an AI-powered interactive storytelling platform that enables users to:

• Create universes, worlds, and adventures using AI assistance
• Experience choose-your-own-adventure stories in Story Mode or Adventure Mode
• Generate content using Google Gemini and other AI technologies
• Share and discover user-generated interactive fiction

2. Eligibility and Account Requirements

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use LitForge. Users under 18 need parental consent and are subject to additional content restrictions.

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate registration information
• Maintaining account security and confidentiality
• All activities occurring under your account
• Immediately notifying us of unauthorized access

3. Service Access and Usage

Service Access

LitForge is currently available as a free platform for all users. You can access all core features including reading stories, creating content, and playing interactive adventures without cost.

Usage Guidelines

• Daily Action Point allocation may apply to certain interactive features
• AI assistance features are provided subject to fair usage
• Service availability may vary during peak usage times
• Future premium features may be introduced with advance notice

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

What You Can Do

• Use LitForge for personal, non-commercial creative projects
• Create and share original content following our guidelines
• Collaborate with other users on storytelling projects

What You Cannot Do

You may not use LitForge to:

Content Violations:

• Create illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Generate content that harasses, discriminates, or promotes violence
• Produce sexually explicit material involving minors
• Infringe intellectual property rights of others
• Share private information of others without consent

Technical Violations:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or break our systems
• Use automated tools, bots, or scraping without permission
• Circumvent usage limits, security measures, or safety features
• Extract data or content for training competing AI models
• Overload or interfere with service operation

Commercial Violations:

• Resell, redistribute, or monetize our services without authorization
• Use outputs to create competing AI storytelling platforms
• Represent AI-generated content as entirely your own creation

5. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

Your Content

• You retain ownership of original content you create
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to:
  • Store, display, and distribute your content through our platform
  • Allow other users to interact with your published content
  • Use your content to improve our AI systems and services
  • Create derivative works necessary for platform functionality

AI-Generated Content

• Output Ownership: You may use AI-generated content subject to these terms
• No Exclusive Rights: Pure AI output may not be exclusively owned by anyone
• Combined Content: Content mixing your creativity with AI assistance may have shared characteristics
• Training Data: AI interactions may be used to improve our services

Platform Intellectual Property

• LitForge technology, design, and algorithms are our proprietary property
• Our trademarks and branding materials are protected
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform

Third-Party Rights

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Limitation of Liability

14. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution First

Binding Arbitration

Arbitration Agreement: Disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, not in court.

Class Action Waiver: You waive the right to participate in class actions or representative proceedings.

Opt-Out Right: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@litforge.io within 30 days of account creation.

Exceptions: Small claims court and injunctive relief for IP violations are exempt from arbitration.

15. Export Controls and Trade Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export control and trade laws. Our services may not be used:

• In embargoed countries or territories
• By individuals on government restricted party lists
• For prohibited end uses under applicable trade laws

16. General Legal Provisions
